Join us on Wednesday, January 14 at Feast Restaurant for a guided presentation and pairing dinner which will reveal the Basque legacy of southern Arizona through both a gastronomic and historical lens. Whiskey Del Bac Events Director and Founder of Civil Wines, Arielle DeSoucey, will be teaming up with Alex LaPierre of Borderlandia to present the Basque influence in the Borderlands alongside beverages from both Southern Arizona and the Basque country in Spain/France. This dinner will share the patchwork of history and drink with dinner thrown in besides, curated by Owner and Executive Chef, Doug Levy. You'll learn about the Borderlands and how the Basque people have influenced our little burg from Alex, and about the accompanying beverages from Arielle. The dinner features a cider from the Basque region and one from down here, a white wine and a red wine from each locale, and wraps up with a whiskey from Tucson and the Basque Country, with a course being paired with the two drinks to sample side by side.
